LONDON (Reuters) – Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb said on Friday he had made a “spectacular” recovery from a serious illness, which was widely reported to be cancer. The 62-year-old, most famous as a founding member of the disco-era hit machine the Bee Gees, told BBC Radio 2: “Well, it’s all simple. I was diagnosed with a growth in my colon. It was removed. And I’ve been treated for that by a brilliant doctor, and in their own words ‘the results have been spectacular’.” Media speculation about his deteriorating health was sparked by his gaunt and frail appearance in recent months. …

The Florida resident appeared opposite singer Elton John. John plays a king waiting to be entertained. He acts bored to death with the contestants until Amaro comes before him and dishes out her new single, a remake of Aretha’s “Respect.”
She then gets out her Pepsi and tells him: “Pepsi for everyone.”

Deep-sea filmmakers killed in Australia helicopter crash

CANBERRA (Reuters) – Two award-winning filmmakers working on a documentary with renowned Hollywood director James Cameron were killed in a helicopter crash in Australia on Saturday, according to National Geographic. American cinematographer Michael deGruy, 60, and Australian TV writer-producer Andrew Wight, 52, were killed when their helicopter crashed shortly after takeoff from an airstrip south of Sydney, the media group said on its website. Police did not release the victims’ identities immediately. …
